Reinstall Windows Every 3 Months

Why you should, and how to do it — no fluff.

Why

How (Windows 11)

  1. Back up your files — OneDrive, an external drive, or cloud storage. Don't skip this.
  2. Download the Windows 11 Installation Media tool from Microsoft and create a bootable USB drive (8GB+).
  3. Restart your PC with the USB plugged in. Press your boot menu key during startup (usually F12, Esc, or Del) and boot from the USB.
  4. In the installer, choose Custom Install, select your main drive, delete the existing partitions, and let it format.
  5. Follow the on-screen setup — region, account, basic preferences.
  6. Once installed, run Windows Update and install the latest drivers for your hardware.
  7. Reinstall only the apps you actually use.
